All NZQA qualified rope access operators and technicians are able to obtain a Scaffolding, Access and Rigging New Zealand (SARNZ) Certificate of Competence (CoC), which identifies their current proficiency to work in New Zealand.
Additionally, rope access operators with internationally recognised qualifications may also be able to obtain a SARNZ CoC. However, key NZQA unit standards must be completed as part of the pre-requisite to cover New Zealand Health and Safety policy and legislation that cannot be obtained internationally.
