NEBOSH International Health and Safety Management for Construction

Purpose

The International Construction Certificate is designed for supervisors and managers within the international construction industry. It is designed to:

  • provide a sound breadth of underpinning knowledge that enables them to discharge more effectively their duties with respect to health and safety in construction activities, and
  • cover general health and safety issues within a construction context as well as placing emphasis on the specific construction issues that make the industry amongst the most dangerous in which to work.

The NEBOSH International Certificate in Construction Health and Safety is offered by VHNZ in association with SHEilds Ltd, accredited NEBOSH Centre 548.

Course Outline

The International Certificate in Construction Safety and Health covers the following topics:

  • The foundations of construction health and safety management.
  • Improving health and safety culture and assessing risk.
  • Managing change and procedures.
  • Excavation.
  • Demolition.
  • Mobile plant and vehicles.
  • Working at height.
  • Musculoskeletal health and load handling.
  • Work equipment.
  • Electricity.
  • Fire.
  • Chemical and biological agents.
  • Physical and psychological health.

Assessment

An examination is offered and must be completed in English. The examination is online and must be completed within 48 hours.

Examination dates are available in January, March, May, July, September and November.

Due to the demands of learning online, a high level of literacy is expected of learners on this course.

Trainees will be required to pay SHEilds an additional NEBOSH examination fee of £169.
