Vertical Horizonz have been Genesis Energy’s preferred training partner for a number of years and through that time we have found them to be highly adaptable and flexible in meeting our training needs. The competence and professionalism of their trainers is a given. In partnership with Vertical Horizonz, we have recently developed a Verification of Competency process for competency refreshers; the focus is on demonstration of competence in various practical simulations rather than never-ending repetition of classroom theory. We will be extending this approach across our business given that the time and efficiency benefits to us are substantial. More importantly though, feedback from both trainees and managers has been very positive. We look forward to our relationship with Vertical Horizonz continuing for many years.

AFFCO Whanganui - Certificate in Construction Pre-Trade Programme. This 5-day pilot programme was successfully completed with trainee’s learning new skills to enhance their health and safety knowledge. The feedback from HSR’s and Supervisors attending, was that they found the course to be empowering. Risk assessment and legislative topics created some great discussion sessions that they can clearly relate to their industry and environment. Providing tools to assist in some positive changes was a key out-take. The practical training was really enjoyed; effective communication, problem solving and fault checking their peers for unsafe practices, giving encouragement and support for each other. Teaching these soft skills is immensely beneficial and fundamental to building successful teams.

I have been using Vertical Horizonz as my training and related topic advisor since the beginning of the year and am very satisfied with their friendly professional service. The customer service representatives and course facilitators are all superstars who consistently seek customer satisfaction by providing advice on various training topics and are always eager to listen and help.
