Vertical Horizonz (VHNZ) is pleased to announce that we have been approved as a Receiving Organisation for Roofing, Scaffolding, Rope Access and Rigging as part of the Transition Plan for The Skills Organisation (Skills).
VHNZ have been delivering the off-job components of these programmes in partnership with Skills for several years. The TEC Board approved the transition plans of Skills and Primary ITO at their meeting on 24 February. Read approved article here
Primary ITO and Skills are the seventh and eighth transitional ITOs respectively to be approved, following Competenz, NZMAC ITO, Connexis, BCITO, MITO and Service IQ.
The purpose of the RoVE is creating a strong, unified, sustainable vocational education system. The new system will have a stronger focus on learners and employers, delivering the skills employers need and providing more support to their apprentices and trainees, and ensuring greater consistency in vocational education across the country.
“VHNZ has enjoyed positive long-standing relationships with these sectors. We are excited at the opportunity to work closer with apprentices, employers and industry to support them into the future.” says Ben Johnstone CEO, VHNZ.
