This course provides safe working knowledge for loading and unloading service vehicles along with the use of suitable tools and equipment. It does not include handling of dangerous goods.

On completion of this course learners will be able to:

• Plan the loading of a goods vehicle.
• Load a goods vehicle.
• Restrain, secure, and protect the load.
• Unload a goods vehicle.

This unit standard is intended for employees as well as students and those in pre-employment training.
