The purpose of this course is to provide attendees with practical forklift experience prior to completing a Forklift Operator course. It is designed for anyone who will need to use a forklift but does not have any practical experience. Numbers are limited to ensure that trainees receive expert one on one guidance from their trainer to help ensure they are prepared for the Forklift Operator course. This course is a practical course and does not have any assessment or unit standard components. 

At the successful completion of this course, the learner will be able to:

• Understand how to operate a forklift.
• Understand what pre-checks are required before operating a forklift.
• Have gained practical experience in operating a forklift.
