Purpose

This course satisfies the training requirements of the Private Security Personnel and Private Investigators Act 2010 for the issue of a security licence or Certificate of Approval. It is suitable for people seeking or employed as security personnel.

Course Objectives

Unit standard 27360:
This unit covers non-contact conflict management techniques and is delivered on-line.

Unit standard 27361:
This unit involves a practical assessment using simulated conflict situations often encountered by security personnel.

Unit standard 27364:
This unit can be completed either through face-to-face learning or paper-based distance learning and includes a theory test.

Pre-Requisites

 27361: Trainees must produce evidence of completing 27360 before completing this unit standard.
