At the successful completion of the course, the learner will be able to:

• Carry out visual inspections and weight checks of CO2 fire extinguishers within wind turbines.
• Demonstrate understanding of the serviceability and condition checks required for extinguishers.
• Understand the importance of maintaining a fire extinguisher inspection record.
• Apply fire safety compliance procedures as per NZS 4503:2005.

This course is designed for those working in the wind industry who are responsible for or selected by their employer to conduct monthly and annual wind turbine CO2 fire extinguisher inspections.

Although this course is non-unit standard based, we recommend learners refresh their knowledge every 24 months.
