PURPOSE

Vertical Horizonz New Zealand are a Certified Training Provider.

The GWO Bolt Tightening Module prepares learners for company specific bolt tightening, through theoretical and practical scenario-based training. This standalone module makes up part of the GWO BTT Basic Technical Training. This bolt module is aimed at those who have no previous experience of, or working with energy powered bolt tightening tools, but may also be used to upskill learners who have some knowledge but not of its application in wind turbines.

COURSE OBJECTIVES
  • At the successful completion of this course, learners will be able to:

    • Understand bolt theory and the principles of bolt connections.
    • Act independently in accordance with a safety plan.
    • Carry out and complete generic bolt torquing and tensioning tasks to specification using energy powered equipment.
ENTRY CRITERIA

Delegates must have the equivalent to Level 3 English communication skills, and be physically fit to operate safely, without assistance. Delegates are also required to complete a medical self-assessment form on commencement of the course to certify they are capable of fully participating.

Delegates are required to be WINDA registered before arriving for the course.
