PURPOSE

The aim of this course is to provide basic understanding and skills of height safety equipment.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

At the successful completion of the course, the learner will be able to:

Identify the common types of height safety equipment employed on height work in the workplace.
Identify suitable height work equipment and suitable anchor points for fall arrest and restraint systems.
Use height safety equipment in a workplace environment.
Plan rescue techniques and emergency procedures for working at height in the workplace.

ENTRY CRITERIA

Learners MUST be 15 years or older to enrol in this course.
The course requires a level of fitness to demonstrate competency for the skill being trained.
This course can only be delivered at a client’s workplace.
