People credited with this unit standard can plan for and lift, move, and place loads using mobile plant in an infrastructure works environment.

NOTE: this unit standard does not meet the requirements for the Approved Code of Practice for Cranes.

At the successful completion of the course the trainee will be able to:

• Plan for lifting, moving and placing loads using mobile plant in an infrastructure works environment.
• Lift, move and place loads using mobile plant in an infrastructure works environment.

Applicants require:

• Access to mobile plant on an infrastructure works site and will be required to lift a single slung load and a multiple slung load.
• Class of drivers licence and endorsements required for the vehicle being driven.
• Attendees must be aged 15 years or over

It is recommended people achieve Unit Standard 30072 “Demonstrate and apply knowledge of slinging regular loads safely” or demonstrate equivalent knowledge and skills before being assessed against this unit standard.
