The purpose of this course is to produce a competent Compressed Air Breathing Apparatus (CABA) operator. At the successful completion of the course the operator will be able to describe the safe operation, prepare, test, and recommission CABA equipment; wear and monitor a CABA; and implement emergency procedures.

At the successful completion of the course the trainee will be able to:

• Describe the safe operation of CABA.
• Prepare, test and recommission CABA equipment.
• Wear and Monitor CABA.
• Implement emergency procedures.

Within a Breathing Apparatus environment it is critical that a seal is made between the users face and the mask so on this note we recommend that all trainees are cleanly shaven.
