Waihanga Ara Rau have recently released some changes to how training and assessment for high-risk short courses is to be undertaken by training providers (like Vertical Horizonz). These changes must be implemented by 1st September this year (and 1st August for any of the unit standards taught within the secondary school system).
What this means is that you can expect to see some changes to some of our short courses coming up. Our team are currently working on what these changes will look like for VHNZ and we are aiming to have most of them in place by the 1st of August.
The Vertical Horizonz courses that will be impacted by the changes include:
- Working at Height - Basic
- Working at Height - Advanced
- Mobile Elevated Work Platform (MEWP)
- Telehandler
- Cranes
- Wheels, Tracks and Rollers Endorsement
If you've booked anyone on any of the above courses with us for after 1st August this year, we'll be in touch directly once the changes have been confirmed to let you know of any impacts to your booked training.
