A collaboration between Vertical Horizonz and TRHServices/NZ Windfarms is setting a new standard for sustainability in the renewable energy sector. This innovative partnership aims to repurpose retired wind turbine components, breathing new life into these structures while advancing the future of wind-specific training and adhering to the reduce, reuse, recycle sustainability model. 

With the rapid growth of renewable energy sources like wind power, the lifecycle of wind turbines has become a pressing issue. As older turbines are replaced with newer models for increased efficiency, questions have arisen about what to do with the retired components, traditionally ending up in landfills, contributing to environmental waste. 

Recognising this challenge, Vertical Horizonz and TRHServices/NZ Windfarms saw an opportunity to transform these components into assets for training purposes.
