INFO
The New Zealand Certificate in Scaffolding (Advanced) (Level 5) is designed for experienced scaffolders who are ready to step into advanced technical and leadership roles within the scaffolding industry.
This apprenticeship develops the skills, knowledge, and experience required to plan, design, erect, dismantle, and inspect complex scaffolding systems while leading teams and managing scaffolding activities across medium to large worksites. Graduates are capable of working autonomously, applying industry standards, and ensuring all scaffolding activities are completed safely, compliantly, and to a high professional standard.
The New Zealand Certificate in Scaffolding (Advanced) (Level 5) is delivered through a block course apprenticeship model. Fees are charged per training block, covering the formal off-job training delivered by Vertical Horizonz.
Between blocks, apprentices continue developing skills in their workplace through on-the-job learning and assessment, supported by their employer and supervisor. This approach ensures training is focused, practical, and directly applied to real work environments.
Block-based fees provide clear, predictable costs for both learners and employers, while supporting an earn while you learn apprenticeship pathway.
