TRAIN TO WORK, NOVEMBER COHORT
Our most recent train to work programme finished on the 16th of November with speed interviewing. Graduates received at least one employment contract, several had three firm employment offers which they were considering overnight and in the coming days contracts will be signed...
The wonderful employers were Perry Metals, Waikato Sandblasting, Higgins, ISS and Contract Resources.
Feedback from one of our new clients, who participated in the speed interviews and made four job offers:
“I just wanted to say thanks for involving us in this course. The speed interviewing was a really great experience. It was nice to really meet everyone and learn more about them. All of the feedback [from the candidates about the course] was really positive too. I look forward to finding out later in the week if anyone has decided to come and work with us.”
Feedback from some of our amazing graduates:
“Very welcoming, engaging and comforting. Good food. Will look forward to being a trainer in a few years.”
“Very helpful, honest, humble and respectful people - I felt free and part of a family being here.”
“Course was awesome, would highly recommend to anyone wanting to refresh.”
“The people were awesome, both VH and the trainers.”
“Warm and welcoming. Enjoyed the lunches. Enjoyed the experience.”
A big thank you to the incredible trainers, John Steunebrink and David Lloyd-Barker; Catherine Schuster for engaging new clients; and to the Māori and Pasifika team who put in a lot of hard mahi (often outside of office hours, uber driving, finding participants, completing needs assessments, CVs and profiles).
Ka mau te wehi!
