Purpose

This online learning course has been designed for people who require a basic understanding of the New Zealand Co-Ordinated Incident Management (CIMS) framework.

Course Objectives

On completion of this course you will be able to demonstrate basic knowledge of:

  • CIMS principles and roles;
  • CIMS structure and functions; and
  • the impact of situational awareness on an incident response.

Our Teaching Method

Training via e-learning followed by completion of an on-line open book assessment

The online assessment is administered by Skills Organisation to ensure a consistent national standard
