Dave Giddens

Dave joined VHNZ at the start of October 2016, having had previous roles as Regional Manager and Regional Training Manager for the Central North Island (Bay of Plenty and Waikato Regions). Dave stepped back in March 2020 and moved into a role of Business Development Manager, assisting the LNI and SI Regional Mangers to develop specific areas in their regions.

Having now set up facilities in Cromwell, Dave continues to work with our South Island Regional Manager to grow the Lower South Island of Central Otago, Otago, and Southland areas. Previous employment was with Connexis Industry Training Organization (11 years) as the Area Manager in Upper South Island and finally Area Manager/Training Manager for the North Island.

Dave has spent most of his life involved in Training, firstly with the NZ Army (21 years in various establishments in NZ and Overseas), ENZA (Apple and Pear Board) and the NZRU (Rugby Development Manager). In the middle he had time away from training (5 years) and owned a Specialized Sports shop (Nelson) for runners and tramping.
