Lloyd Rakaupai

Lloyd is our Account Manager based in Tauranga, looking after our Bay of Plenty clients.

Lloyd joined Vertical Horizonz (VHNZ) in January 2020, following completion of his Business Management Diploma. Initially securing the position of Regional Training Manager for the Bay of Plenty, Lloyd then moved into the Account Manager role for the region and has also completed a number of further qualifications during this time, including a New Zealand Certificate in Workplace Health and Safety Level 3 and currently studying a Masters in Business Administration. 

With a background and expertise in strategic acumen and business growth, Lloyd has been heavily involved with client acquisition and student satisfaction. Lloyd has a passion for creating mutually beneficial partnerships to ensure equity for all. 

Governance and community initiatives are important to Lloyd. He is currently the Deputy Chairperson of the Tauranga Māori Business Association (supporting Māori business owners), an Honorary Fisheries Officer for the Bay of Plenty and has been involved with the New Zealand Defence Force for the past 17 years in multiple management roles.
